Student musical presentation

Bracebridge and Muskoka Lakes Secondary School teacher, Jeremy Audette, and Grade 9 student, Autumn Paugh, played four songs on their violins for trustees and the senior team. Paugh began learning the violin just this school year, devoting a lot of time, which was evident by her ability to perform with beautiful sound, rhythm, and accuracy.

Director’s update

Director of education, Wes Hahn, acknowledged the dedication and hard work of a Huntsville High School (HHS) student, Richy de Haas, who has overcome many challenges and prioritized academic achievement and personal well-being with the support of his parents and staff at HHS.

Hahn also shared the success of two of the Board’s recent fundraisers that support the Feed All Four Fund. The first being the annual TLDSB Golf Tournament, which was held on June 7 at Oliver’s Nest Golf Club in Oakwood. The second was the annual Online Silent Auction, which took place for a two-week period between May 23 and June 7. Hahn noted how important the various fundraisers are to replenish this fund, as it is greatly accessed in our communities. This school year alone, there were 150 requests that were fulfilled.
